                            Tracking

Tracking is your dog teaching you to follow his lead on him using his nose. You cannot make your dog track...and you do not know more than your dog about tracking. Because a dog's smell is a thousand fold more keen than a human, you need to give your dog the support to do the job, and not get in the way. Other dog sports put the human in the coaching spot, but the dog is the leader in tracking. If at all possible, try to find a tracking club, or seasoned tracking "trainers" to help you get the best start. Although tracking requires a large amount of time and understanding, the end result is priceless!!
